Samsung released the Galaxy Note II smartphone tablet (aka “phablet”) in October 2012 to critical acclaim. The product was regarded as a significant improvement over the original Galaxy Note with improved handwriting recognition and a 720p Super AMOLED Plus display. The 1.6 GHz ARM CortexA9 CPU was slightly faster than the first version of the Galaxy Note but it benefitted from 2GB of RAM, an additional 1GB more than its predecessor.
