In September 2013 Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 3, replacing the Galaxy Note II in the Note family. Boasting a larger, full HD 1080p display and 3GB RAM, the device was a marked upgrade over the Note II. The plastic leather backing of the Galaxy Note 3 was designed to have a “premium” feel to set the device apart from the rest of the smartphone field.
