The Samsung Galaxy S7 featured a number of improvements over the Galaxy S6, most notably the Dual Pixel camera which enabled faster autofocus. The phone also included IP68 water resistance, a feature that skipped the Galaxy S6 line. Two notable downgrades included the removal of the IR transmitter and a downgrade of the camera from 16 to 12 megapixels.
